well then Lawler016 does that mean we should class wars as holocausts then?including the war against Ireland by the Brits,for example in the early 80s there were under 1 million people living in Ireland,200 years before that there was 3 million,and 800 years before that there was around 7 million,if you take the amount of Irish people in the U.S today,most of those peoples ancestors never wanted to leave Ireland long ago,Americans have to understand that the Irish were pushed/killd from Ireland.

Jim, this will probably be in vain, but you should learn some history because the British oppressed the Irish for a very long time. I believe the British banned the Irish from their own parliament in the late 1600's and held control well into the early 1900's. However this is not the place for this discussion and if you wish to continue it I suggest you message me. 6funswede apologies for the de-rail and thank you for post all of these wonderful videos.

The difference between a war and a Holocaust is that a Holocaust, ("great fire") is actually used to described the "Systematic Killing" of a particular group of people. It doesn't have to based on race. : )

Firstly thanks 6funswede so much for putting these up. I stumbled across When You Are Old and Grey yesterday and after watching these vids I'm pricing his albums on amazon so thank you.
Don't want to go off on a tangent but thanks crazedkid103 for the defense. As an Irish person and History student it's greatly appreciated. Britian had a complicated past with Ireland long before and after 1600s. Far too complicated for some debate on youtube so thanks for showing sense to a comme

Yes, yes, yes ... Tom Lehrer is God. Or at least, he's Elvis. I mean, of course, the Elvis of singing and satirizing Mathmaticians. Or something like that. Anyway, he's great, a true (not-so-)secret(-anymore) classic, a polished gem of a sarcastic motherlover, so 10.000 thanks to 6funswede for making all this rare footage available.
